The Prophet Muhammed and His Companions Traveling to the Fair

This painting depicts the prophet Muhammed, depicted wearing white as a sign of his holiness. He is accompanied by his father-in-law Abu Bakh and Ali, a warrior. The site of the scene is believed to be Medina, the Muslim holy city, the rocks in the background are said to be the location in which Muhammed met with God, as well being as a significant location to Jewish scriptures. Muhammed's companions in this scene would later become his successors after his death.
